On the bright side, Zero does get a double jump, he gets to use a short-ranged sabre, and learns new techniques from bosses that don’t require energy. Button while dashing on the ground, Zero Z-Saber blade turns pink (possibly light red) and swings it in a half circular motion.
Mega Man is like easy mode – players can shoot from a distance, find armour upgrade (that allow hovering, infinite weapon energy, super powered mega buster, super power attack) and has access to all boss abilities to simplify dispatching bosses (if you know the correct order of killing them)! Zero on the other hand is a lot more difficult to play as – there are no amour upgrade modules, Zero only obtains a few new attacks from killing bosses (which makes some bosses really hard as they don’t have a weakness), and is stuck with using a short-ranged sabre. Each of the main levels (eight in total) contain a Mavericks to dispatch, and similar to past Mega Man games, a new weapon is obtained following their defeat! The stages are technically the same for both X or Zero, although the game feels wildly different depending on who is selected because each character has a different set of abilities. You basically run and jump through levels, destroying enemies with either you blaster or energy saber. They really try to keep the story in the mind of the player throughout the game, and that's cool, but it's just not an interesting story, and the new characters feel pretty throwaway, like Duo in MM8.The gameplay is similar to other Mega Man games. There's also different dialogue between you and all the Mavericks that will play before boss fights. Man did you come to the right place for collecting all the heart tanks, E-tanks, W-Tank, Life Tank, and armor upgrades for MegaMan X4. There's even different cutscenes for X and Zero’s games. The two versions were released simultaneously in Japan on August 1, 1997.

Like in Mega Man 8, fully voiced anime cutscenes play at key points during the game. Megaman X4 Mega Man X4, originally released in Japan as Rockman X4, is a video game developed by Capcom.
The story is not great, but the presentation is pretty awesome. They play up the Maverick Hunters being the police angle a little more in this game. Energy hearts will allow X and Zero to hold more energy, making them stronger and able to survive longer in battle.
The list includes the locations of the eight energy hearts in each of the main stages, the two energy tanks, the special weapon and EX tank, the four body upgrades for X, the robot ride carriers, X's secret Ultimate Armor and Zero's Black Armor. X and Zero then set off to find answers, because they're basically robo cops. The item list shows where all the special items are to be found and how they can help out X and Zero. In Mega Man X4, Sigma persuades the robot army known as Repliforce to turn against humans and then drops a floating city on another city below, killing millions. Mega Man X4 is available on PS3, PSP, and Vita as a PSOne Classic, and it's one of the games included in Mega Man X Legacy Collection 1. Most notably, it featured a completely new graphical style and it was the first game in the series to let you play through the whole game as two different characters. Like Mega Man 3 and 7 were to the original series, Mega Man X4 was a big turning point for the X series. Mega Man X4 was originally released by Capcom in 1997 on the PlayStation and Saturn, 2 years after MMX3, and 1 year after MM8.
